In August, I introduced you to somatic reflexes. These often-unnoticed tensions in the body manifest as chronic pain, stiffness, or a general feeling of unease in our movements and breathing, consequently impacting our mental health. A few weeks ago, We also practised releasing the ‘green reflex’, an unconscious posture that triggers many back issues and restrictions.

This month, I want to address the ‘red reflex’ or startle reflex, a protective response to fear, anxiety, or danger. It causes the body to contract inward, tightening the front of the body to protect vital organs. This can lead to issues like neck, jaw, and shoulder pain, breathing difficulties, sleep disorders, and even depression.

This 90-minute Somatic Yoga Masterclass is designed to calm your body’s natural stress responses and bring peace to your mind.
