The Bones Series – A Somatic Journey Through Your Skeleton | Pelvis, Sacrum & Tail
This is the second masterclass in The Bones Series – A Somatic Journey Through Your Skeleton. Each class in the series focuses on a different part of the skeleton and combines somatic movement, gentle weight-bearing, and meditative rest to improve how you move, rest, and feel in your daily life.
In this session, we focus on the pelvis, sacrum, and tail, the body’s central link between above and below. When this area is balanced, the whole body benefits. When it carries tension, movement feels restricted, and even simple actions can feel heavy.
Through mindful exploration, you will:
- Improve posture and coordination by aligning the pelvis with the legs and spine.
- Release hidden tension in the hips and lower back.
- Build a sense of stability that makes walking, sitting, and standing feel easier.
- Restore natural rhythm and flow in the way you move.
Most of the practice takes place lying on the floor, with some exploration in sitting or standing. A soft surface is recommended, along with loose, warm clothing. Blankets, pillows, or bolsters can bring extra comfort.
This masterclass is open to all, including beginners, and is especially supportive if you are recovering from injuries or surgeries, or simply wish to deepen your self-awareness and connection. Recordings are available for 30 days after the full series. If you book this session as a drop-in, access will only apply to this class, not the previous or future ones.
