To be on the same page!

  1. We are not offering a course based on a fleeting trend but it is rooted in years of experience working with people from diverse backgrounds and health conditions. It is founded on real life and experiences.
  2. It is not promising miracle health cures or “fixing” disease solely through breathwork. Research cautions that breathwork can support mental wellbeing and stress regulation, but claims such as “detoxing the lungs”, curing diseases or significantly boosting immunity remain unproven.
  3. We do not present ourselves as an alternative to medical or psychological treatment for severe conditions such as major trauma, clinical anxiety or chronic disease. We make the boundaries clear. The course clearly stipulates that Laurent is not training therapists or doctors and invites his trainees to stay grounded in their own crucial roles, not in someone else’s.
  4. It does not claim to “release trauma” or perform deep emotional healing as if you were in therapy with a psychotherapist. However, some modalities treat breathwork like psychotherapy, but the evidence is limited regarding intense trauma work through breath alone.
  5. This training does not rely on heavy, aggressive, hyper-ventilatory techniques portrayed as having magical or guaranteed powers. Some commercial breathwork offerings use rapid breath-holds or extreme patterns that promise profound states, which can carry risks and are not always well-supported.
  6. We do not treat breathwork as a “one-size-fits-all” solution. While breathwork has benefits, the research emphasises nuance, variability and that it should not replace professional healthcare. Breathwork and pranayama are part of a holistic
  7. The overuse of scientific facts. While the course provides enough science-based information when it is appropriate and relevant to understanding breathing, trainees are not overwhelmed with complex material and resources; instead, they spend more time practising to truly feel the impact and benefits of the breathing techniques on the body, its functions, the nervous system, and the mind.

Are you ready to make that impact?

Curious about what you'll explore?
  • The essential foundations of breathwork and pranayama the steps every teacher and practitioner should know, which are often missing from most teacher training. These core principles establish the tone for safe, meaningful practice.
  • Calming or energising breathing techniques you’ll return to again and again, both for yourself and your clients, to create an immediate change and impact on the nervous system.
  • The science behind breathwork and pranayama and understanding how the nervous system, breath, and mind interact to promote wellbeing and resilience.
  • Laurent’s exclusive model for building sequences combines breathing techniques and other tools to create the right environment for managing sleep difficulties, dealing with burnout and depression, among other things.
  • Why many breathwork facilitators feel unsure when teaching and how small, intentional shifts in your approach can help you lead with clarity and ease.
  • What ancient pranayama traditions can teach us and how to adapt these timeless practices to support modern lives and real-world challenges. The old teachers knew so much more than we did!
  • The key teaching principles that apply whether you’re working one-to-one or guiding a larger group, because solid foundations make all the difference.

Teaching Breathwork and Pranayama effectively requires the same foundational knowledge, whether you’re guiding an individual or addressing a large audience.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions about the Online Breathwork Training

No. Everyone is welcome.

I’ve taught breathwork to nurses in hospital settings, therapists working with trauma, physiotherapists supporting chronic pain, corporate wellbeing coordinators, counsellors, bodyworkers, and yes, yoga teachers too.

Each brought their own perspective and context, and each learned to adapt the practices for the people they serve.

Breathwork and pranayama are not owned by any single discipline.

The breath belongs to everyone, and the techniques can be offered in countless settings—from therapy rooms to care homes, from private practice to workplace wellbeing programmes.

What matters is your willingness to learn, your capacity to hold space for others with care, and your commitment to practising what you teach. I’ll guide you in adapting techniques for your specific context and the people you work with.

This training teaches you to think, not to follow rigid formulas. You’ll learn to observe, adjust, and respond to what’s actually happening in the room rather than simply delivering scripted sequences.

If you’re already supporting others’ wellbeing in any capacity, or you’re drawn to this work and ready to develop genuine competence, this training will meet you where you are.

Everyone is welcome to attend this Breathwork Teacher Training.

Laurent has extensive experience in teaching Breathwork & Pranayama in multiple settings and with various professions.

He understands how to adapt and modify breathing techniques, teaching methods, and offerings in different settings, such as hospitals, private therapy appointments, corporations, or elderly homes.

Because of this fluid approach to offering the benefits of breathing techniques, this versatile training is perfect for all wellness professionals.

There are three ways to join this training, depending on where you are in your breathwork journey.

If you’re beginning with breathwork and pranayama, the 60-Hour Fundamentals Training gives you everything you need to teach with confidence. This runs over four weekends between March and May 2026. You’ll learn the anatomy and science, practise the techniques yourself, develop your teaching voice, and understand how to adapt practices for different people and settings. This is a complete standalone qualification.

If you know you want to specialise in mental health applications from the start, the 100-Hour Advanced Professional Training takes you deeper. This includes all four fundamentals weekends, then continues with three additional weekends focused specifically on anxiety, trauma, insomnia, burnout, and building therapeutic programmes. You’ll finish with full professional certification accredited by Yoga Alliance Professionals UK.

If you’ve already completed the 60-hour training with me, or you graduated from one of my previous breathwork trainings, you can join the 40-Hour Advanced Component directly. These three weekends cover the mental health specialisation without repeating the foundations you already know.

The fundamentals weekends run March 6-8, March 20-22, April 10-12, and May 1-3, 2026. All sessions are live via Zoom, and recordings are provided so you can review and deepen your understanding between weekends.

Each weekend follows the same rhythm, giving you time to practise, integrate, and rest between sessions.

Friday afternoons run from 14:00 to 17:30 UK time. This allows you to finish your working week before we begin, and it gives us a gentle entry into the weekend’s focus.

Saturday sessions are 13:00 to 17:30 UK time. We use this longer session for deeper practice and teaching development.

Sunday mornings run from 09:00 to 13:00 UK time, finishing early so you have the rest of your day to reflect, rest, or prepare for the week ahead.

All sessions happen live via Zoom. I encourage you to join with your camera on when possible. It supports your learning and allows me to observe your practice and offer guidance. That said, I understand life doesn’t always cooperate, so recordings of every session are provided.

These recordings stay accessible throughout the training and afterwards. You can return to them when you need to review a technique, clarify a concept, or simply remind yourself of something that resonated during the live session.

All sessions are recorded, so you can catch up if unavoidable circumstances arise. However, I strongly recommend attending live whenever possible.

The learning doesn’t happen simply by watching. It happens through practising together, receiving feedback in real time, observing how others work with the techniques, and asking questions as they arise. The recordings capture the content, but they can’t replicate the experience of being present in the learning space.

If you do need to miss a weekend, you’ll watch the recordings, complete any assignments, and stay on track with your practice. Depending on what you’ve missed, you may want to book additional mentoring time with me at extra cost to ensure you feel confident before moving forward.

For certification, you must complete all required hours. This includes the live or recorded contact hours, your independent study, and your assignments. Missing a weekend doesn’t disqualify you, but it does mean taking responsibility for catching up thoroughly.

Life happens. I understand that. Just know that your learning will be richer and more embodied when you’re present with the group.

After the 60-hour Fundamentals Training, you’ll be ready to teach foundational breathwork and pranayama with confidence. You can lead classes in studios, community settings, or corporate environments. You can offer one-to-one sessions supporting general wellbeing. You can integrate breathwork into your existing practice, whether that’s yoga, therapy, bodywork, or another modality.

You’ll understand how the breath affects the nervous system, how to adapt techniques for different bodies and needs, and how to hold space safely for others. This is a complete professional qualification, certified by Yoga Alliance Professionals UK.

After the 100-hour Advanced Professional Training, you can work more specifically with mental health. You’ll be equipped to support clients experiencing anxiety, stress, insomnia, and burnout. You’ll understand trauma-sensitive approaches and how to recognise when someone needs additional support beyond what breathwork can offer. You can design therapeutic programmes and teach advanced techniques with the discernment that comes from understanding both the power and the limitations of this work.

The 100-hour certification qualifies you to register as a TrainerPro member with Yoga Alliance Professionals UK.

But honestly, the qualification matters less than your competence. The certificate opens doors, yes. What keeps them open is your ability to guide others skilfully, adapt to what’s actually needed in the moment, and teach from genuine understanding rather than scripted sequences.

Everything you need to complete the training and continue learning afterwards.

All live teaching sessions via Zoom are included. You’ll have lifetime access to the session recordings, so you can return to them as your practice develops over months and years. The online learning portal contains practice audios, worksheets, reading materials, and integration resources you can use with your own students and clients.

I provide written feedback on your assignments. This isn’t a tick-box exercise. I review your work individually and offer guidance specific to your development. You also receive one complimentary 30-minute mentoring session with me, which you can use during or after the training to address whatever matters most to your learning.

Upon successful completion, you receive your certificate and Yoga Alliance Professionals UK accreditation.

What’s not included: Additional mentoring sessions beyond the complimentary one are £60 per 30 minutes.

Your annual YAUK membership fee is also separate if you choose to register with them.

The training fee covers your education and ongoing access to materials. Any costs beyond that are clearly stated, so there are no surprises.

You can ask questions during any live session. I encourage this. Often, what you’re wondering about is something others need clarity on too, and your question benefits the whole group.

I also provide written feedback on your assignments. This isn’t generic commentary. I look at your work specifically and offer guidance where you need it.

The complimentary 30-minute mentoring session is yours to use when it serves you best. Some people use it early to clarify their approach. Others save it for after the training when they’re beginning to teach and want support with a specific challenge. You decide.

If you need more than this, additional one-to-one mentoring is available at £60 per 30 minutes. This might be helpful if you’re working through a particular technique that feels difficult, if you want feedback on your teaching before you offer it publicly, or if you’re adapting practices for a specific population and want guidance.

I’m here to support your learning, not just deliver content. If you genuinely need help, ask for it. That’s what this training is for.

Yes. The training is delivered online, so you can join from anywhere in the world.

All session times are listed in UK time. If you’re in a different time zone, you’ll need to calculate what that means for your local hours. The recordings provide flexibility if live attendance becomes difficult due to time differences, though being present for the live sessions gives you the fullest learning experience.

I’ve taught students from across Europe, North America, Asia, and Australia. The practice of breathwork translates across cultures and contexts. What matters is your willingness to engage with the material and your commitment to developing your understanding.

The Zoom platform works globally, and the learning portal is accessible from anywhere with internet connection. Your location doesn’t limit your ability to learn or to receive the same quality of teaching and feedback as someone joining from the UK.

You have access to all session recordings and course materials through the online portal for one year. This gives you time to return to the practices, review techniques as you begin teaching, and deepen your understanding beyond the live training weekends.

The complimentary 30-minute mentoring session can be used during the training or within three months after completion. Use it when it serves you best.

Beyond that, additional mentoring is available at £60 per 30 minutes. Many graduates choose occasional check-ins as they begin teaching, when they encounter a challenge with a particular client, or when they want feedback on how their practice is developing. This isn’t mandatory, but it’s there if you need it.

The training is designed to give you genuine competence and confidence to work independently. But I also understand that real learning continues long after the formal training ends. Questions arise when you’re actually teaching. Situations emerge that you didn’t anticipate. This is natural. If you need guidance as you develop your practice, I’m here.

The 60-hour Fundamentals training introduces how the breath affects the nervous system and why these practices can support stress, anxiety, and general wellbeing. You’ll understand the mechanisms behind this, not just the techniques. This foundation prepares you to teach breathwork safely in most settings and gives you clarity about what you’re actually doing when you guide someone through a practice.

If you want to work specifically with mental health, you need the advanced component. This is included in the 100-hour training, which combines all four fundamentals weekends with three additional advanced weekends. Alternatively, if you’ve already completed the 60-hour fundamentals, you can join just the 40-hour advanced component on its own.

The advanced work explores trauma-sensitive approaches, working with anxiety, insomnia, burnout, and depression. You’ll learn how to recognise when someone needs additional support beyond what breathwork can offer, and how to design therapeutic programmes that meet people where they are.

If you’re planning to work with clients experiencing mental health challenges, or if you want to offer breathwork in therapeutic contexts, this advanced training is essential. The fundamentals alone won’t give you the depth of understanding or the practical skills needed to work safely and effectively in these situations.

There’s a difference between supporting general wellbeing and working therapeutically. Both matter. Both require competence. The question is which level of training matches the work you intend to do.
