Somatic yoga is a type of yoga practice that emphasises a deep awareness and connection with the physical body internally and externally and involves slow, mindful movement and gentle, sustained stretching.
The practice encourages practitioners to use their breath and conscious attention to explore and release tension, develop a sense of ease and fluidity in movement, and cultivate a greater understanding of self-awareness and presence in the present moment.
